Fishing Urns

Love the Sport of Fishing - Rest in Peace

There is perhaps nothing more peaceful or serene than fishing. As the fisherman waits, sometimes hours, he learns about patience, persistence, and even becomes an impromptu philosopher. Exemplifying these qualities are fishing urns. Fishing urns come in many forms, but each is sure to well describe the life of a fallen fisherman.

One of the most colorful fishing cremation urns is the ceramic fly fishing urn. This fishing urn captures the excitement and exhilaration as a fisherman casts his line in the early hours of the morning, as the sun begins to peak its head over the hills. His poll is bent over backwards, meaning that whatever he caught is going to be big. This fishing urn is also available in brass, which illustrates the glimmering ripples that surround him.

For the fisherman who enjoyed catching other game as well, such as lobster and crab, there is the porcelain fishing urn. These fishing urns serve as a proud reminder of all of the conquests he made as he stood with his line in the water. Family and friends will look at this fishing urn and remember the times the departed invited them to dinner after making a huge catch. This fishing cremation urn is also entirely biodegradable, leading some to spread the deceased's ashes over the water, and then drop the urns in. This can be a way that the departed can give back to the water after it gave so bountifully to him.

For the more single minded fisherman, who knew exactly what he wanted when he set his line, there is the trout fishing urn. This fishing cremation urn features a school of trout, who are, later on in the day, certain to be on someone's plate. Such schools of fish are an easy prey to fishermen such as the departed.

Another eye catching fishing urn is the "Chasing Rainbows Keepsake Urn." This artistically cast fishing cremation urn features an avid fisherman, not unlike the departed, who is knee deep in water, but with his poll beginning to curve around. He too has found something, lunch.

Fishing cremation urns also come as a stylized oak box. This fishing urn features a proud looking fisherman about to make the catch of a lifetime. Around him, the rippling waters reflect just what a challenge this one was, and how both the fish and the fisherman refuse to give up easily. No doubt there were many such catches in the departed's lifetime that he proudly hung above his mantle piece.

A very modern looking fishing cremation urn features a boat, complete with swivel chairs and an onboard motor, as he floats through a mountain stream. These fishing urns show the patience of a fisherman as well, as he waits and hopes for something to bite from below. Along the edges is a giant fish, surrounded by ornately carved woodwork. Only a fisherman understands what catching a gigantic rainbow trout, halibut, or redfish means after having to wait for so long.

Then there are fishing angel urns. These fishing cremation urns, made of walnut, feature sterling silver angels on the front, each with a fishing rod, a fish, and a "Gone Fishing," sign. Each also comes with a photo frame to display a picture of the departed when he was at his finest, catching a bass. These fishing urns show the dignity and earnestness of each fisherman.

Fishermen also have a number of options when it comes to jewelry fishing urns to choose from as well. One of these features a fish facing upwards towards the necklace, as though he has just been caught. These jewelry fishing cremation urns will not only be admired by those who see them for their beauty, they will also allow the departed's family and friends to keep a piece of them here on earth.

For the avid fisherman, a fishing urn need only hint at his favorite activity, and some merely do. One of these, a maple fishing urn, features the ideal spot for fans of the sport, a cool stream in the mountains, on a day that looks perfect for fishing. These fishing urns combine beauty with simplicity, and illustrate what every fisherman dreams about at night.

Fishing urns have always had an artistic quality to them that would still be quite fitting even if the departed never fished a day in his life. Jesus told his disciples to be "fishers of men." Even if the deceased's game was not bass, trout, or flounder, a fishing cremation urn would still be very appropriate, if only to symbolize his magnetic personality. He "reeled in," friends all around him who enjoyed the pleasure of his company. Of course if he enjoyed fishing in the water, all the better.
